The Icebox Radio Theater of International Falls will complete its 2011 'Koochi-Koochi Tour' with a live show and broadcast from the Ranier Community Building, Friday, September 16th at 7pm.

On tap is a series of original skits and songs hi-lighting the best of the IBRT's summer tour. And featuring the world premiere of "Bank Robber! The Trial of W.W. Butler", a 30-minute radio play gleaned from the pages of Koochiching County history.

'In 1895, a bank in the gold rush town of Rainy Lake City was robbed. Over a century later there are still questions about who the robbers were. Was it W.W. Butler, the operator of the bank who staged the robbery to overcome financial troubles? Or was the mysterious man who asked Butler to break a twenty to blame? In the play, two members of the local historical society stage a mock trial to find out. 'Bank Robber! The Trial of W.W. Butler' is a historical comedy written by IBRT Artistic Director Jeffrey Adams.'

The evening also features live songs from Myron Hawyrlak of Fort Frances, Ontario. Myron is an accomplished musician and song writer who has graced the Koochi-Koochi tour with his original tunes. Plans are in the works for Myron to lead a trio of musicians for this show.

All are invited to the Ranier Community Building at 2099 Spruce Street to enjoy the show free of charge. For folks outside the region, the show will be broadcast live on Sound Stages Radio at The Koochi-Koochi tour is sponsored by Boise Paper Solutions, and a Minnesota Legacy Grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council.
