History comes alive in Koochiching County as the Trial of W.W. Butler is re-told by the IBRT. In 1895 in the tiny village of Rainy Lake City, banker W.W. Butler was accused of staging a robbery of his own bank and getting away with the loot. Some question remains to this day as to exactly what happened, but now, members of the local historical society from opposite camps on the issue have a chance to battle it out - Debate Style! Recorded before a live audience.

In a park outside a hospital, an old man and a teenage boy begin an interesting, if tense, conversation. Both of them learn a lot and have one big surprise before the conversation is done in this slice-of-life vingette by Lynn-Steven Johanson.

Tundra Games

To transition us out of the spooky season, we offer up Patrick Gabridge's black comedy 'Tundra Games', a story about two incompetent hired killers, a raging blizzard, and a finger. Starring Stephen Adams and Aela Mackintosh!

The Demon

‘The Demon' is a 60-minute play about four people trapped in a church basement during a violent, and somehow un-natural thunderstorm. When somebody or something is heard prowling outside, the trapped souls must face their own sins in order to escape the supernatural danger.

The Woods

For Halloween Month, a tradition continues at the IBRT. It's Ghost Story Time! A couple awakes in their car along an unfamiliar road. When they receive a phone call from an unknown woman in the midsts of being murdered, the couple are thrust onto a bizarre journey where every turn in the road brings new terror, and journey's end brings them face to face with the awful truth. Karen Shickell and Jeffrey Adams star.

Hello/Goodbye
